RICC ANNUAL PICNIC
Our 61st Annual RICC Picnic was a hot one that’s for sure! Yet the band played their music and people came out to enjoy! Food was very good, prizes were great, and silent auction went very well! We will have a financial recap of our event at our September meeting but it seems like all went well. There has already been talk for next year’s picnic, so if you have ideas, please send them thru email. Thanks again to everyone who helped with the picnic. Kitchen staff— great job! Cake Walk—very creative cakes were given away, Fish Casting—kids won some good looking prizes! Thanks again to everyone who sold tickets for our raffles, dined at the picnic and purchased some items at our silent auction!

BOAT STORAGE FINAL UPDATE:
Boat committee – 787-4770
Since the club now has its banks back, and our boat racks are out of water, members
can now start placing their boats in their assigned slots that were issued to
them from the caretaker/boat committee.
The committee will be out at the club on August 3rd to start separating boats. IF
YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP, STOP BY!
Those boats that have valid registrations will be put in one place, and those boats
that have not been registered, will be moved and locked up.
We will start the process of notifying members, and moving towards getting a clear
title for each boat per State of Illinois DNR Code 625 ILCS 45/3C. Once a clear title
is received, all abandoned boats will be auctioned off by the club.
Please help us in fighting the proposed development by Rock Island City on Big Island by filling out and mailing in the attached petition form stating that you are against such development. We do not know the damage that such a development can do to the local environment. You can download a copy of the petition form by clicking here.
